Opportunity of International Organization in Global Environment

Question: Discuss Between Corporate Governance of Large Companies against Family Business? Answer: Introduction: Many had said that a corporate world is a bad one, full of challenges and hurdles that provide major setbacks in the path for the business venture to succeed. However what professional domain is not surrounded by challenges and risks, the strategy however should be to overcome those challenges and ensure that the journey to progress for the company is a smooth sailing (Cavusgil et al., 2014). However there are a number of different external and internal factors associated with different stakeholders of the company that have a profound effect on the operational characteristics of a venture and to negate the negative impact of all those challenges can be a difficult task to accomplish (Colombo et al., 2012). And the responsibility of handling all these factors and ensures that the reputation and operation of the company is not affected in the least lies on the shoulders of the manager. This report will discuss in detail the challenges that are associated with the job responsibility of a business manger and the opportunities of that designation taking the example of an Australian organization (Carroll Buchholtz, 2014). Managerial responsibilities: In a business company, a manager is nothing short of a team leader, he or she have to overlook the operation and performance quality, solve vendor related problems, solve internal conflict and work with the entire staff as a big, cooperative and collaborative team (Carroll Buchholtz, 2014). A manager needs to have effective communication and leadership qualities so that he or she can motivate other employees to achieve what they would not even attempt and along with that a manage must have foresight as his decisions will be followed by his subordinates and a single mistake can be detrimental for the success and sustainability of the company (Carroll Buchholtz, 2014). Other than that, a manger also has the responsibility to oversee the future of the company and the welfare of all the stakeholders involved. Hence having a wealth of business administrative knowledge if not expertise is a very important attribute a manager must have up his sleeves. Assertiveness and dedication is also the skills that a manger must have experience of in order to ensure that the staff operation and performance is up to par and the growth of the company is unharmed. With so many different responsibilities to fulfil, there undoubtedly are various challenges that a manager has to face (Cavusgil et al., 2014). Managerial challenges: As mentioned above the job responsibilities of a business manager is all-encompassing and with changing dynamics of the customer base the challenges are ever-increasing. However, each of those challenges have some or the other solution. Studies suggest that the majority of the challenges that a manager faces is the lack of support or cooperation from the end of the rest of the employees. It has to be considered that a successfully running business company is much like a well oiled machine; a single clink can affect the growth drastically (Colombo et al., 2012). However, in the majority of the cases it is not the fault of either the manager or the rest of staff that they lose the element of cooperation and support. In the corporate world nothing is constant, and if the staff cannot adapt to continuous restructuring and redundancy then the fall is inevitable (Colombo et al., 2012). Another important player in the corporate scenario causing fall after fall in the business world is the high and mighty crisis. A crisis situation is tests the limits to the quick thinking, foresight and perseverance of business managers. A crisis situation can make or break the career for a corporate manager both in proverbial and literal sense (O'Reilly Tushman, 2011). For instance if we consider the example of the very public failure of the highly popular automobile company, Fords, a series of bad decisions and inadequate managerial impact on crisis management resulted into the downfall of the company and its sell in Australia (The Australian, 2017). The major blow to the operations of the company was the denial it faced from accessing the export market in Australia. Left out with just the domestic demand, was just frozen out and was fighting against odds with little to nil chances of restoration (Ford Australia, 2017). It has to be considered that the Australian market is more fragmented than the rest of the world and to keep up with the demands there were needs for reorganization and restructuring in the business operations to overcome the challenges of recession and the managerial effort to any restructuring and restoration was seriously lacking which resulted into the downfall of the car giants Australian operations (The Australian, 2017). Opportunity of International Organization in Global Environment With the rise of the globalization in the international business, the import and export in the business have seen witnessed huge expansion. According to Cavusgil et al., (2014), the main purpose of multinational companies to operate in the international market is to seek the attention of the buyers from all across the nations of the globe. The international business also provides the opportunity to launch a product or service in all across the globe, which is one the best ways to expand the business. Czinkota and Ronkainen (2013), believes that expansion of business in the international market is one of the best ways to raise the level of brand awareness among the customers. The potential of promoting business at international scale can help a business organization to rapidly identify all probable customers for a product. The managers of all types business can use the opportunity of the international marketing. For small scale business the international market can provide the opportunity to compete directly with large scale multinational brands. For a large scale company like Ford, it is important to for the company to expand in the international market. By performing business in different market environment all across the globe the company will get the opportunity to expand the cultural diversity in the workplace of the company. Thus, the manager of the Ford Company will get the opportunity to recruit people from all across the nations and also provide them with suitable working environment. With the advancement of the modem day technology in business, it is possible for the Ford Company to imply the use of the technology in business, which helps them to use better mode of communication with all the workers and stakeholders of the company. It is important for the marketing manager of Ford to explore the opportunity of the global environment. This will help the manager to deal with the challenges they had to be done in the global environment. With the help of the global environment, it is possible to deal with the challenges in the economic crisis that has the potential to disrupt the business of a local area (Najam et al., 2016). While operating in the global environment, the managers of Ford can understand the demand of automobile products in different nations of the world. For example in the developing nations, people mainly prefer the fuel efficient vehicle. On the other hand, in the developed nations like Australia, people mainly prefer the luxurious vehicles. Hence, the Ford Company is able to launch wide range of automobile products in the market. With the help of the international marketing tools, the manager of the Ford Company will be able to explore the external business environment. The porter diamond model is one of the effective tools, which will help the Ford Company to gain competitive advantage in the market. With the help of the porter diamond model, it is possible to identify the business opportunity in particular region. By introducing the business in a global environment, it is possible for the business manager of the Ford to improve upon their decision making skills. They can widen the depth of their knowledge in the understanding of the international business that can help in the process of expansion of the company. With the rise of globalization the international business will get the opportunity to explore the opportunity of global economy (Fowler, 2013). The global economy can also provide the opportunity to deal with the challenges of local business crisis. The sustainable business environment can also be developed with the help of the policies of international business. Hence, it is possible for the Ford Company to survive in all possible unfavorable business environments and also maintain their reputation in the business in the global market economy. With the help of the policies of international business is also possible to neutralize the risks that are associated with the business. The man ager of the Ford Company can also adopt various risk assessment policies which will help them to deal with all unfavorable business conditions. The Ford Company needs to have separate business policies which will help to deal with all business circumstances Conclusion It is important for the food company to identify the challenge that exists in the global environment of business. This will help the company to expand and thereby use the opportunity that exists in the international global market. The company can also increase their reputation by expanding the range of the market and also seek the attention of all potential customers throughout the globe. The manager of the Ford Company can also improve upon their business leadership skills while they introduce their product in the Global market. With the help of the policies of international business the Ford Company can also afford to increase the range of products that they are selling in the market. They can also increase the level of brand awareness of the company within the international market. References: Carroll, A., Buchholtz, A.
